As an Integrative Counsellor MNCPS acc, MBACP. I will use different approaches in order to meet the personal needs of the client. Face to Face therapy in South Ockendon, Grays & Eastwood.
Person Centred therapy is rooted in believing that we as individuals have the capability to reach our full potential when in the right environment & supported by the right counsellor. The relationship is key as the therapist will embody the core conditions of empathy, unconditional positive regard and congruence towards the client. By allowing this space the client can gain self-awareness, begin to understand their emotions and behaviours and become their True Self.
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is very common in treating a wide range of mental health problems such as Anxiety, OCD, BPD and more. CBT is a goal orientated approach focusing on one's thoughts, feelings & behaviours and becoming aware that our thoughts, beliefs and attitudes affect the way we feel and behave. CBT can help you to manage your problems by challenging those negative thoughts and beliefs and using more of an evidence based approach which then leads you to have a more positive, healthier well being.
Transactional Analysis (TA) is a type of psychotherapy used to help our communications with people in order for us to have more healthy and positive relationships. TA therapy helps the client to be aware of the way you think, feel and behave and is designed to promote growth and change not just in your relationship with self but in our interactions with others. It looks at how we became who we are, how we view ourselves, others and the world around us and focuses on unhelpful patterns of thinking and behaving so we can learn to have more positive interactions with ourselves, others and the world around us.
During our counselling sessions, you will have the opportunity to talk openly about your thoughts, feelings, and experiences in a safe and confidential environment. As a trained counsellor, I will work collaboratively with you to identify goals, develop coping strategies, and foster personal growth. The therapeutic relationship ensures that you receive the attention and guidance you need to navigate life's challenges effectively.

As a Youth Mentor this will be Face to Face in South Ockendon & Grays.
My aim is to provide support, motivation, and guidance to help young people to achieve their full potential and overcome life's challenges. I will support individuals through their personal, social and emotional development in order for them to be heard and make a positive contribution to their society.
This would involve creating individual plans for the young person aiming for their own unique reachable targets. I have experience in working with young people for different kinds of reasons such as low confidence, anger management, anxiety, challenging behaviour, self harm, building resilience, perfectionism, difficult family changes and much more.
I believe when early intervention is done effectively then when problems arise in the future they are equipped to tackle the issue head on with confidence, resilience and courage.
